Recovery Events, Resources & Advocacy

Kudos to Katie!

Our lovely Katie donating pizzas to the warming station in Utica.

"It was truly a humbling experience.  I’m tremendously grateful to be part of such a loving and caring agency!  It is my passion to bring that same energy and love to those in our community.. often times I take for granted the feeling of being loved not only from my “blood family” but my work family and friends that ARE my family as well.  Our community needs love and compassion too and it was a great feeling to put a smile on their faces and share my love of pizza!!!  Multiple people there said it’s been years since they had pizza and wings…and I was honored to host a little, giving, pizza party.  Their smiles made my night!"

Local residents can participate in advocacy training in preparation for annual Lobby Days in Albany. We encourage volunteers to join us in carrying our message of prevention and recovery to our elected state officials. Our plans also include hosting legislative events on relevant and current issues as the need arises.

Friends of Recovery - Oneida meets the Second Monday of every month from 5:00pm - 6:00pm, via Zoom. You can get to this link by contacting katlinm50@gmail.com or Tom tomr53@roadrunner.com. We welcome anyone who is interested in helping to shape the recovery movement across our community and offer hope to those in need.

Developing recovery supports in the community is essential to building the foundation for and sustaining recovery for the individual and the family. To do so, we must include the voice of people in recovery, families in recovery, families that are struggling with active addiction and those who have lost someone to addiction.

Our mission is to help remove the stigmas associated with drug and alcohol addictions by demonstrating the huge benefits of recovery for individuals, families and friends.
