  • There will be a special training on Anxiety (formerly DSM 5) in November 2015.  This will be a special training engagement with a variety of different presentations on topics related to DSM5 and anxiety and will include leading experts.  As soon as details are made available, you will find them here.

Register for a training.  You can register for a training one of three ways:  by registering online by clicking here to view the events calendar with all upcoming events/trainings, or you may register via phone at 315-768-2640, or by mailing the registration flier to CFLR, Inc. 502 Court Street, Suite 401, Utica, NY 13502.

Refund policy.  Please note that CFLR, Inc. does not refund training fees.  A training credit may be issued for use at a later date in lieu of a refund.   It is the responsibility of the attendee to contact CFLR, Inc. to notify of the desire to use a training credit, all 2015 credits expire in December 2015 and cannot be carried over to 2016.

CFLR, Inc. Receives $1,000 from Stewart’s Holiday Match Grant

CFLR, Inc. Receives $1,000 from Stewart’s Holiday Match Grant

 

March, 2015 – Center for Family Life and Recovery, Inc. is pleased to announce the receipt of a Stewart’s Holiday Match Grant totaling $1,000.00. The funds received are to be used for children 18 years of age and under and will support the necessary action items to support CFLR, Inc.’s Youth That Cares program (YTC).

CFLR, Inc.’s YTC program works to reduce binge and heavy drinking among youth, as well as ways to reduce youth exposure to alcohol marketing. The group will work with convenience stores, such as Stewart’s Shops to reduce youth targeted alcohol marketing practices.

Funding has been made possible by Stewart’s Holiday Match Grant. Customers donated more than $770,000 last year from Thanksgiving through Christmas. Stewart’s matched the amount collected, bringing the total amount awarded to charities and organizations to over $1.5 million!

The training will provide information about the new regulations regarding Continuing Education (CE) and Social Work. There will be an opportunity for question and answer with an expert who can answer your CE questions. There will also be the opportunity to hear about the benefits provided through National Association of Social Workers (NASW) membership and upcoming programming.

Who should attend: This presentation is especially for Social Workers and those who are seeking or whom currently have the LCSW and/or LMSW credentials. Please note seating is limited, first come first served basis.

Kids in Crisis Event to Increase Mental Health Awareness

“Kids in Crisis” Event to Increase Mental Health Awareness

March, 2015- Center for Family Life and Recovery, Inc. will be offering a “Kids in Crisis” event at Sammy’s Café at 34 Genesee Street in New Hartford on Saturday, March 28th from 10:00a.m. – 11:30a.m. “Kids in Crisis” is an opportunity for parents, caregivers, and those with a young person in their life to talk to a professional about concerns they may have about a change in behavior that they have noticed in their child. Counselors and various resources will be available to assist attendees’ needs. In addition, there will be tea, coffee, soda and pastries available.

“Kids in Crisis” is an event that brings attention to the importance of accessing mental health resources.
